History, Vision and Mission

Several years ago two executives who have almost 60 years combined experience in the staffing sector, independently thought about how they could provide the middle market, regional and the privately owned staffing firms with some of the same tools, experience and resources that the large public companies had access to. These two executives, who started working together in 2008, are the operating principals in the newly formed The Staffing Cooperative. Together they bring a broad diversity of experience and qualifications to the middle staffing market.

The mission and vision of the Co-op is to create a national brand, associated with leading edge staffing technology, operational and service excellence, yet retain the individual characteristics and identity of the locally owned and operating staffing provider. Our primary objective is to cost-effectively assist independent staffing firms increase their financial/market value through the leveraged resources that The Staffing Cooperative will offer.

It is widely known that the smaller/regional, privately owned staffing organizations historically have provided higher quality and better customer service than the larger firms. Yet the smaller firms, in many cases, have lacked the resources, leverage and access to innovation and applications that have given the larger companies an unfair advantage.

The Staffing Cooperative has been created specifically to provide those resources that will enable the smaller privately held staffing firms access to: C-Suite guidance and support, both tactical and strategic, interim executive management, back office consolidation, succession and/or exit strategy planning, access to investment banking resources that are experienced in the staffing sector, enhanced group purchasing power, sourcing and vetting of essential personnel and most importantly overall access to the resources that will enhance the performance and value of your firm.

The marketplace, depending on economic conditions and other variables, much of which are beyond the owner's control, will determine the multiples that are used to value your staffing business. But the real value will ultimately be determined by your cash flow/EBITDA. The Staffing Cooperative is a unique professional organization that will enable access to resources that previously have not been available within one entity, to improve the market appeal and financial value of your organization.
